What part of Atlanta? City proper or suburban? There are a few gyms ITP (in the Perimeter, a label for city of Atlanta and in-town suburbs) but I only know of one that has a boys program - Atlanta School of Gymnastics. There are many many gyms OTP (outside the Perimeter) but depending on where you'll be living, many of them would require long and congested commutes.

Since moving is not a sure thing, we haven't narrowed down an area yet.

No idea about gyms but moving to Atlanta in the summer...good luck. I almost melted waiting outside the airport for my friend to pick me up one July when I was visiting her. It definitely made an impression.
Thanks! I had a similar experience when I visited Savannah some years back. I got off the plane and had a hard time breathing from the humidity. Fortunately we are not too far from Atlanta now so there's nothing we need to adjust to.

Are you referring to Atlanta School of Gymnastics? They do. I am not sure how up to date their website is. Follow them on Instagram - @asgtucker @asgteamprogram @asgoptionals
Thank you! Their website doesn't mention a boys team and I know how gym websites are which is why I was asking for recommendations.

In general, I would recommend going to the gym closest to your home. That should cut down your commute time significantly as traffic in Atlanta is terrible. I provided gym websites that posted their schedules. I can’t really speak to the cons of gyms as I believe unless you’ve worked there or been a client it would be difficult to accurately assess the cons, but I will say no gym is perfect as you probably already know. Roswell and looks like Incoming have the club track based off the results at state meet. I would need more information to possibly know if a gym would be a good fit or not for your sons, but I’m not sure I could really help you in this area. Here’s some information about the gyms, in order of largest team to smallest (gym abbreviation when available, number of team kids in parenthesis) according to the gym’s total number of gymnast at state meet this past season.

Roswell (68) – in the city of Roswell, north of the perimeter. Has the club track, the coach of it said it is used as a feeder program for the national track (DP). One of the biggest teams in the region, if not country. Also, one of the best gyms in the nation based on results at Nationals. Has a large coaching staff. City ran gym, so that helps support the program and its sustainability. Apparently, residents of Roswell get a nice discount, but I’m sure they have many gymnasts that commute from outside of Roswell.

Gymnastix Training Center (GTC, 51) – in Budford, northeast of the perimeter. Also, probably one of the largest teams in the region. I was just told that they are expanding their gym for a boys only area, so they are definitely invested in men’s gymnastics. Seems like a rarity these days.

Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta (GAA, 42) – in Kennesaw, northwest of the perimeter. Another large team in the state and region. They have the nicest gym in Atlanta, just built within the past two or so years. There’s probably less than a handful of gyms nicer in the region if that

Amplitude (32) – in Alpharetta, a little north of Roswell but the cities are right next to each other, north of Atlanta. There were recent rumblings that this gym might not make it but hopefully that’s not the case as they just added a coach to the staff, and it sounds like they just had their most successful season ever given what I heard about their results at Nationals.

Newnan (18) – in the city of Newnan, southwest of Atlanta. A little ways from the perimeter.

Gym Sports (GSA, 17) – in Fayetteville, a little northeast of Newnan, south of Atlanta. They’ve opened a new gym in the past few years

Cobb (15) – in Marietta, northeast of the perimeter, south of GAA. City ran program.

North Metro (10) – in Woodstock, north of Cobb, north of Atlanta.

Incoming (9) – in Cumming (get the name of the gym now?), north of Gymnastix, so northeast of the perimeter. This has to be the farthest gym from the perimeter. From what I was told, the boys program was just started this past season. Has the club track. City ran program

Cartersville (CTG, 8) – in the city of Cartersville, north of GAA, so northwest of the perimeter. Ok, Cartersville is just as far as Incoming from the perimeter. In the process of building a new gym if it isn’t completed already. The gym Brody Malone came from

I hope this information helps.

Thank you so much!

This may have been because the entire womens team (L4 and L8 I think) quit two or three seasons ago. Reasons from what I know included lack of coaches, lack of quality coaching, not a good fit etc. Seems to be mens focused now, but don't know much about the program.
