My daughter is 8, and is training for DP level 3. She is really struggling with the backhand spring. It doesn’t seem like they practice enough during her regular practices and consistent strength training. Working with her at home on an air track, she collapses every time either both arms and legs or just arms.

How long does it typically take to get a backhand spring? She has done 3 2hr backhand spring camps and has been working on it during regular practice for about 4 months.

What can we be doing at home to help and speed up her progression on this skill?
