Best way to strength train

If you work on strengthening one muscle too much, you can be in for trouble. You have to a keep a balance. So if you work on abs only and don't do any back strengthening, you can increase the risk of back injuries. So while they don't necessarily need to be done on the same day, you should keep things mixed up over the course of a week. Not sure if that makes sense and other coaches will probably have better input, just what I've heard over the years and my understanding.
 
A well rounded conditioning program is important focusing on pushing and pulling strength up and down and out/in coupled with lower back and abdominal strength and knee/hip flexion/extension exercises besides any prehab/rehab stuff like toe/heel raises, etc.

You can rotate some elements to avoid over training in that movement or on the joints or in that ROM but some things need to be trained ALWAYS so you can better at them (HS work). In that sense, your body will become more efficient at that movement by optimizing how many more units can be recruited to perform the movement.

Programming is a fine art and method.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
