Women Breaking in grips

I am a level 8 gymnast and I know a lot of the tips and tricks to break in new grips but I just broke my grips tonight and have one practice until I leave for competition. I got my new grips tonight and was able to break my grips in enough to do a low bar( it was kinda ugly but I managed). However I’m really scared to do high bar because I feel like I am going to slip off in my giant just because the chalk will not stay on them.

Does anyone have any unusual tricks to break them in really fast that work or anything that helps new grips keep the chalk on them.
Thanks

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
