Cleaning a Balance Beam

Does anyone have advice for the best way to clean a balance beam that has been in storage and is slightly soiled?

How about bars? The bars in our gym actually get mold spores on them during the summer months. It's gross.

Hmm not sure about cleaning sorry but to prevent the mould spores etc on bars you can cover the bars with a piece of canvas or pvc-type material when not in use and particularly overnight.

spray on some bleach. let it dry. rechalk the area.

Really? Wouldn't that ruin the suede covering?

Our old head coach, before she retired, ruined our brand new beam because she soaked it when someone got blood on it. When it dried it was really shiny and slippy! No Idea why she thought that was a good idea! lol!

no, a power washer will not ruin it. this is how it is done. you don't use detergents or soap because it will break down the glue holding the cover to the aluminum. understand?
