Coaches Coach and athlete interaction rules

Are there any rules preventing a gymnast from let's say emailing a coach?

There are no rules regarding you reaching out to a coach via email.
College coaches may not be able to respond directly until starting June 15th after sophomore year, if you are possibly trying to be recruited.

Or do you mean a coach at your gym? At our gym, we would just cc the parent in our response for accountability if an athlete reached out to us directly.

I think, generally, there's no rules against an athlete reaching out to a coach.

Depending on the context, there are rules about how coaches can respond.

You can email your coach, but your coach may prefer to respond in person, or with your parents copied in, or something like that.

Lol, would have helped if I didn't leave my laptop open mid-response when I left to "rescue" my dog who got stuck on the floor.
Came back to a cat on the table and the reply posted, so I didn't add the part about personal team coaches. I knew somebody would answer more thoroughly.

About my dog: He is 15 years old. Part German Shorthaired Pointer and part Border Collie - he has bad hips and some nerve damage in his lower back, so he tends to recreate the scene from Bambi when Bambi was just learning to walk. He sleeps on a twin mattress covered with throw pillows and blankets. Back when he could stand on his hind legs, he was taller than my 5'8" friend. He is around 85 lbs, and we have to pick him up by the base of his tail when he falls or otherwise gets stuck.

I have a dog at that same age with similar back leg problems

2) Why have we not had a dog/cat pics thread yet? Clearly this problem must be remedied immediately. Would you like to start that thread, or shall I?
