You can do pressure sets for beam. Have them land 10 in a row of whatever. If they fall they start over. Do routines in front of the whole group in competition format. Things like that, so that they're pressured to hit the routine or skill.
Another thing is to have them do "mental choreography" (heard about this for the first time from doc Ali). Basically, for every movement in their routine, they have a specific word or phrase that they think every time, so that at meets, they go into autopilot mode & think the same things that they have in practice. This works for all events. I know it has helped me a lot to be more consistent at meets!

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
