Curious what other gym programs look like for DP level 3. What is the size of gymnasts to coach ratio, how many hours a day/week do they train?

Is there issues with gymnasts not getting corrections and doing stations without any monitoring?

Our 3s practice 9 hours a week (with 4s and some 6s), All 3s practice in one group (I think there is 7? There is usually 1-2 coaches per event with them, about 5 or 6 coaches per practice)

wow that sounds wonderful!! We have 13 level 3 with usually 1 coach per event, sometimes 2.

Our L3’s practice 10.5 hours a week (3 days of 3.5 hours). There are 21 girls and they rotate all 4 events and conditioning. There are usually 2-4 coaches per rotation for the group.

So does that whole group of 21 get split into 4 smaller groups and then they rotate in the smaller groups to each event, with multiple coaches ?

I'm in a different country and thus, different level system, but my group is training skills similar to L3/L4/Gold and they train 9 hours a week, there are 8 girls in the group (some years might go up to 10 or down to 6) with one coach. I usually set up stations but I coach/focus on one of them and that's where I give corrections,... in the other ones they work independently. Usually the set up is made so I can watch all the station but I only give punctual corrections in the ones I'm not actively coaching.
Also usually the side stations are skills or drill that they have usually mostly mastered, so they should be able to do them ok in their own.

My level 3 practices 11 hrs a week. There are 35 level 3s on her team. They have 4 coaches, they split into 3 groups and rotate through.

My daughter is training level 3 and they train 12 hours a week. This is a bit more than other gyms in our area. They mostly do 9 hours. I am neither for nor against the greater number of hours. We picked the gym for the quality coaching and clear, organized structure of the program. Anyway, they do three 4 hour training days and training is pretty much exactly what Gymgirl84 described. We switched to this gym in September and have seen a lot of progress in our daughter! I think the drill stations have made a huge difference for her and her coach gives excellent corrections at the station she is working on. Our previous gym seemed to do things a little differently. From my biased perspective, it seemed like the girls did a few side stations on skills with very little monitoring and then would do heavily spotted skills with the coach at one station. My daughter is doing way more shaping drills in the side stations now and seems way more prepared to then do the new skills.
