It would. We have a girl from our gym competing today. I'd love to see how she is doing!
 
Ok, I am not a coach or anything but this is how I understand the rules. The girls who qualified to Elite Canada as national novice compete over two days to be considered "high performance" (HP). The top 20 girls (based on average score over two days) are considered HP and qualify directly to Canadian Championships. They will compete against themselves and are considered a different group than other novices.

A girl from our gym qualified and made it. Quite an accomplishment in my books.
