Envelopes on this site

I had no clue where to ask this as there is no site tech support forum, so please move it if it fits somewhere else.

Can someone please explain what all the envelopes by the posts mean? I've seen red closed, red with pages coming out, beige closed and beige with pages coming out. I thought I could figure it out, such as red with pages coming out meaning the thread has a new reply I have no yet read but often I click on it and I have read the last reply.

Also what do the arrows mean like a red closed envelope with a white arrow pointing down? I know all this probably sound dumb but it has been bugging me.

beige closed means you didn't read it.

Beige open means someone has replied

Beige with an arrow means you have replied

Red means the same as above, except it is considered a hot topic. Lots of views and lots of replies.

I know Bog has answered but just for your info, in each forum, scroll right to the bottom of the page and there is a key which tells you what they mean
