Yes you saw that right, his grip came undone during his routine. Happy it wasn't a freak incident and he was able to save it.

He got to perform it again later, but it wasn't scored.

Appearantly he has tape on his wrist over his grip to make sure they dont get undone, and the tape came undone. Why that happenend, i dont know

My son's coach made him get buckle grip because he was always messing with the vecro and had to put rubber bands over the velcro to keep them from coming undone. Now he has blisters and rips on his wrists from the buckles.

D HATES the buckles . He tried to switch. I am glad his coach does not make them change. He does wear the Hambuchens that have the buckle and the velcro. those are his favs
