Parents Fast Twitch?

I know there has been loads of threads on this subject already but I still don't understand it, can someone please explain what Fast Twitch means and if my dd has it.

My 7 year old is very fast over short distances when running, she is not so good at the hand eye stuff when doing. PE. My dd seems to be high energy and cannot sit still for very long.

We all have both types, however the training provided will lead to developing more or less of each type, think Lynford Christie V Mo Farrah

They say there is either slow twitch or fast twitch, but I have had a couple of kids that I think warrant a third type, and that would be no-twitch!!
Seriously, good gymnasts can come from either.
