Recently I peeled off the high bar at the top of my kip. The last few weeks I have felt really insecure on bars, high bar especially. Like I feel like I’m going to peel. Could this be a problem of my grips? My grip strength? Technique? I use water, the scraper and lots of chalk between every turn. My grips do feel pretty smooth, but they are not very thin, and I have had them for about a year and a half. I used to win little challenges of ‘how long can you hang on the bar’, but I usually feel the most insecure at the end of bars, which makes me think maybe it is strength. I had similar problems of feeling like I am going to peel last spring, but it went away without me doing anything. This time feels worse though, and I actually did peel. It is making me really scared to do bars, which is stressing me out, because my first comp is in a couple weeks. Any suggestions or shared experience is appreciated. Thx!

talk to ur coach, them knowing u will help them be able to help u

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
