Parents funny from DD after meet

DD (age 6, level 4) had her third meet today. During the bars she looked over to the side after almost every trick. During the cast for the dismount she is looking off to the side. I asked her later who she was looking at; I thought maybe she was needing reassurance from the coach. She said that she wanted to make sure the judge was paying attention to her. I am still laughing from that hours later!!!

That's funny! That happens to me when I'm judging school and recreational comps - the nervous kids that look over at you the whole time like they're scared you will bite. I feel so sorry for them being so nervous. I haven't seen it happen when judging a competitive comp though, well, not yet anyway.
