The Gold Over America Tour is happening this fall. It also toured in 2021. I'd like to take my daughter but there's not much info about it. She'll be 7.

Did any of you go in 2021? Did you and/or your gymnast like it?

And did any of you get the gold squad add on? What I don't understand about it is with that add on you get VIP special entrance and to see the Chalk Talk etc. It's for ages 7 to 25 but I'm not going to let my kid just go off by herself in such a busy venue. Would I be allowed to go with her?

I went in 2021 with another fan friend. We’re both adults and we had a blast. We’re planning to go again this year. We did not get the vip but we did splurge on decent seats and we got upgraded because the expensive lower seats were left unsold so we were about 10 rows back from the floor.

One thing that surprised me was the lack of merchandise. There were very few shirts for sale for the kids and almost nothing for the adults. Personally watching Chellsie do a pistol squat on the uneven bars was a huge highlight.

We went with a group from DD’s gym. We did not do any additional add ons. It is more of a show and for entertainment, they do not throw big skills. We enjoyed it, but I don’t think we will do it again.

We went in 2021, my daughter is 10 now so shen would have been around your daughters age when we went. We LOVED it!! We didn't do any add-ons so I can't speak to those. But the show we went to (Duluth, GA) was FULL of little gymnasts. It was a lot of fun for us. I will say that I had read that the merch was known to sell out so we got to the venue early and went straight to the merch table, we had to stand in a very long and hectic line but were able to get the merch we wanted.

Did anyone answer the VIP question? I would love my daughter to do it, but I am not sending her into an arena by herself either!

Hi. Was there an email sent detailing what can be worn as part of the Gold Squad and the music? This was done in 2021 but haven’t seen anything yet. Thanks

Yes but I got it like 4 days before the event. Anything can be worn. They said you can wear a Leo but don't suggest it because it's cold inside these venues. My daughter wore a t shirt and leggings. They send out a video of the dance the girls learn but it seems easy enough.

The website has a great FAQ area which states one adult will be able to go in with the paid VIP child. We are doing it in Cincinnati this year and are very excited.

Funny - I received the email shortly after posting my question. Thanks for the responses.

My daughter is looking forward to it!

My daughter and her friends did the Gold Squad last night, and it was a great experience. I was able to chaperone. Happy to answer any questions for anyone who's still planning to do it.

My question to those who have already done it: when did you get the link to the group photos? Thanks!

Mine came Oct 1st and we went Sept 28th! It came faster than I was expecting.

Hello, we just purchased the Gold Squad upgrade. Could you tell me when you were asked to be there. I would assume theres a time where they will be teaching the participants the finale routine? Our show starts at 7 and want to plan when to be there. Will I get an email detailing everything?

I'm going tonight!

EDIT: It was alright. I wish it had more gymnastics and less of everything else.
We are going next month but I watched some on YouTube and it is not at all what I was expecting. More for the average viewer and not gymnastics enthusiast I would say. Bummer

You will get an email a few days before the show with all the instructions. We were told to be there no later than 3:30-4pm for a 7pm show, and they will teach them the routine then. After that you will get to participate in the Chalk Talk Q&A. The email with instructions will also have a link to a video that teaches the routine, so you can start practicing it in advance.

Was the rehearsal and chalk talk fun? Any personal photos with the Olympic gymnasts or just the group photo as promised?

I agree it would have been nice to see more gymnastics rather than dance and all the other stuff. My daughter and her friends definitely enjoyed it (the choice of music is certainly geared towards younger audiences). The highlight for them was certainly doing the Gold Squad; my daughter gave a hug to Joscelyn and got a couple of autographs. I enjoyed the Chalk Talk Q&A, during which we also got to watch many of the gymnasts stretch, warm up, and just hang out together.

The rehearsal was a once in a lifetime experience for my daughter, and the chalk talk was surprisingly fun! I thought I'd be boring. I got to hear from Jade Carey, Brody Malone and Joselyn Roberson and have so much respect for them after hearing them talk about gymnastics and their journeys. No smaller pics are allowed beyond the group picture promised. But they did break down all the kids into 4 groups so there's like 15 kids in my daughters pic. It's pretty cool.
