Soi went into gym for the first time in a few weeks becase of my elbow injury and did simple leg and ab workouts since im not aloud back into full workouts for awhile yet... But anyways My teamates and I were talking and during practice we always write the Japanese symbol for good luck, victory,or power on our wrist but since competition seasonis here we wanted to know if we didwrite it on our wrist would we have tocover it? It seems to be our good luck charm at competitions and we used to writte it onour grip bags, but we would like to do it on our wrists if it was ok. Anyone know? Im open to all suggestions! Thanks!

That's a really creative idea :) Are your comp leos long sleeve? If they are then that might cover it. If your leos are 3/4 sleeve then maybe you could write it up a little farther..?

yea we used to do it all the time thenwe just stopped and oursare 3/4 sleeve which for me it doesnt matter because of tigerpaws and grips but most of the other girls dont wear tiger paws. I do it all the time. ive always had a japenes symbol on my wristfor good luck. its something ivealwaysloved to do and its takes up less spacethen writing.

thats a really cool idea(:

yeah if the judges see it you can get deductions and stuff so you'd haveto make sure it's covered up completely

The japanese symbol idea sounds terrific!

Just to let you know though, I believe that you get a deduction for having a tattoo or a bracelet of any kind. You get a warning on the first event and then a deduction on the next events.

I'm pretty sure that Chelsey (idk about spelling) Memmel has an ankle tattoo that she covers up.

You could put it up on your forearm though!

GymCatGirl.. I never knew Chellsie Memmel had an ankle tattoo! Lol. I've noticed the Alicia Sacramone covered up her Olympic tattoo at worlds but she didn't at the Covergirl Classic or at Nationals.. And I also agree with writing it on your forearm. Or if you really like it on your wrist you could put it there if you use your tiger paws for every event (except bars, of course). And just have all the girls that don't wear tiger paws put it on their forearm. Or maybe if you write it really small the judges won't see it.. Just a thought..

Thank you for all of the ideas! i think that i willprobably putit onmy wristand coverit with apiece of tape... so i kno it is there. Japanes good luck symbols havealways been really meaningful. i actually plan on getting atattoo when im in college.
