Women Gym Fees Question

No tuition break for summer or winter break. We are fine with it because our gym will add more hours during season (an optional weekend practice for those who want it), and we want our coaches to spend time with their families as well.

DD's gym semi-closes for the winter break. No rec programs practice, and team depends on level. Optionals will be there most of the break as their first meet is usually in January. Higher compulsories (3-5) will practice 4 days out of the 2 weeks. Lower compulsories (1-2) will practice 2 days out of the two weeks. Tuition across the board stays the same. We have no yearly tuition fee--everything is billed monthly, but some months have 5 weeks so by the end of the year everything has evened itself out.

Both my DDs gyms have tuition on a session basis (10 was). They are both closed over break. The current session ends the 19th and the new one begins on the 2nd, so technical we aren't training or paying during those few weeks.
That's how we are, but we usually have 4 week sessions (Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Aug, Sept, Oct, and Nov). For December, it is a 2 week session and is half price. Sometimes sessions start at funny times (December 1/2 session started on the 8th and goes through the 18th... and January Session will start on Jan 5 and go through the 29th), but it all works out in the end.

Our gym does close for the two weeks of break. There are optional camps (with separate fees), but no regular classes or practices. But tuition is by 6 week session, so when the gym is closed, the interval between sessions just gets longer for that time period. So for winter, it looks like 8 weeks on the calendar but is only 6 weeks of classes. Which sucks because it means that payments are due at different times, not, say on the 1st of the month. So sometimes it hits our budget cycle nicely and sometimes it doesn't. I'd rather have a regular monthly fee.
