Women Hand placement in back tuck

Curious to what hand placement everyone learns in a standing back tuck. Do you put hands under knees (knee pits), on shins/knees or not grab anything? Is this the same as all your other skills?

Mine depends. If I'm doing a standing BT on floor I grab behind my knees. But on beam I 'slap' my shins. I say slap because it's literally a one touch movement rather than holding them

Shins usually, as that's how i was taught. I've heard you're not supposed to grab under your knees as it is less safe if you fall, but not sure how true that is.
