Hi everyone - maybe you can help me with my predicament...🥹😆

I've been out of the sport for 7+ years and am having fun doing some training again as an adult 😁 My old handguards/grips are pretty badly stretched and so I decided to invest in a new pair. I went with Reisport double buckle grips after hearing good things about them, however it's my first time using this brand and my first time with buckles. I measured my hands and bought medium (size 2) based on the size chart provided (I'm fairly close to the boundary between small & medium, but the latter seemed like a better choice), however when I tried them on, the coach said they looked a bit big, but suggested I tried them on the bar to see how they feel.

To be honest, I think they do feel a bit big (although it's been so long since I had new grips that I can't really remember what they're meant to feel like when you first try them on!), but the coach suggested I could just wear the buckles a bit further up the arm away from the hand to counteract this. However, despite tightening the buckles, they kept shifting down my arm towards the hand whenever I would swing on the bar, leaving me with an even larger excess of leather bulging on my hand.

Like I said, I'm new to buckles, so I don't know if I just need to tighten them more to stop them slipping down my arm (although I don't think so - I would have struggled to get them much tighter without cutting off blood supply 😆), or whether the guards really are just too big meaning that any slippage occurring is making them feel even bigger. Another possibility is that I need a better quality, tighter fitting pair of wristbands - my old gymnastics wristbands stretched really badly, so I've just been using a cheap pair of sweatbands instead, and I'm wondering if that's what's causing the grips to slip so badly.

So basically, I've just spent a decent amount of money on a pair of grips that don't feel right, and I guess I can't return them now that I've tried them out 🥹 So any help very much welcome - I've attached pics of my hands in the guards (before and after wrist slippage), the size chart, and my hand being measured in inches so you can all give me your thoughts on whether the size is right or wrong!

Thank you in advance 😊

They don't look tight enough ... the wristband is also slipping up the wrist.
I also noticed that your fingers look like they slipped farther through the holes. You may ned a little bit of tape under your first knuckles to prevent that slipping. The combination of everything slipping would make them feel a lot bigger.
If you can get longer / thicker wristbands, it might help.

Good luck.
