Hi, I am the father of a wonderful 6 yr old girl who loves her gymnastics! She just made the level 3 competitive team and has tripled her time in the gym.

I was worried that this amount of time in the gym would burn her out, but she loves every minute of it and can't wait to go back. (it has been 2 months now!)

We also have some mats and pads at home...while watching TV she likes to do her "back walk overs" and "hand stands" to see how long she can stay up.

I hope this continues though the teen years. ( by then she will have little time for boys ) Just kidding...A father worries, ya know?

Welcome! I have a DD around the same age and level. She's 5/level 4. I wish her gym had a level 3 team because DD is too young to compete level 4 this year. Will your DD compete in the fall?
