sounds like stress fractures in the tibias. better seek medical.

Working through this pain would be dumb. Something is definitely amiss.

Just to restate, the pain is in your calves and not in your shins?

Sounds simple but have you worked proper lower leg conditioning? Heel and toe raises? Walking on heels, walking on toe?

Look for a doc or PT that has experience working with gymnasts or sprinters.

I would not work through this pain. If you want to be able to continue to compete T&T for awhile, it is best to seek medical attention and get this issue resolved. The pain is not normal and your body is telling you something is wrong. Listen to it.

My daughter had a similar pain in the shin area and we did the same as you...iced it, advil, rest etc until it was unbearable and I took her to a Sports Medicine doc who did an Xray and MRI and diagnosed her with a stress fracture of her tibia. She was in a boot and on crutches for 5 weeks and was able to weight bear after that and resumed competing...you need to take care of it before your tibia shatters and then you'll really be out of it for many months
