My daughter made the level three team last month, after 10 months in rec classes. She's really enjoying it. She doesn't quite have her ROBHS or that thing on the bars where you go around with the bar between your legs...but half the other girls don't either, and they're working on it.
Here's the problem: My husband's interviewing (rather unexpectedly) for a job in another state. If he gets it, we'll be moving halfway across the country...probably before her first meet, even.
We've looked, and there are two gyms with teams in the town we'd be moving to (it's in Central Minnesota, so not a big metropolis or anything). Do gyms take a kid who's on team but hasn't competed yet? How does that even work?
We're excited about the prospect of moving (although we like it here too), but I'm concerned about the impact to this poor kid who has worked SO hard to get to this point. It's not a done deal by any means, so I probably shouldn't be obsessing...but I totally am.
