WAG How many meets per year?

So if you have 2 meets in a month, which is pretty common, you will not go to one? Is your gym good with that?

Yes our gym doesn't require us to go to all meets. They feel the kids need family balance. They don't want to drive kids out of the sport because they can't do anything else. They also get everyone's financial situation is different. We pay as we go. It is not unusual at all for our gymmies to miss at least one or even 2 a season. I guess if the kids missed to many (barring injuries) they would have an issue. That usually doesn't happen. But no they don't expect us to miss, things like special occasions for a regular meet, especially if there are other opportunities to qualify for states.

This year dd has 6 qualifying meets, sectionals and then state (if she qualifies).

We have 6 plus states/regionals. Most kids do not miss any, unless injured/sick. It's a team thing Travel meets are optional, but in state are very strongly encouraged (barring injury, illness, or school thing)

My team (xcel) has 3 required meets (one being the mock meet) plus state and their are usually 2 optional meets (usually out of town)
