I'm really not a very huggy-type person, but I could definitely use a hug. My youngest daughter who was all ready for level 8 started having wrist pain about a month ago. I brought her in to the ortho, and she has bilateral gymnast wrist with stress fractures in both wrists. They put a hard cast on one arm. I really was coping fine with that because it happens, and you stay positive, rest, let it heal, and try to persevere. Well, on Saturday, while playing a game at gym, another child kicked her, and she broke her big toe and also fractured where the toe meets the foot. I am sorry to report that I did not handle that so well. I cried a lot. She can't go to school because she can't even physically maneuver between the foot and wrists. I think after COVID and just everything else on this earth, it feels like A LOT. I think my poor kid is probably handling this better than I am!
