Hi! This may be a strange question, I know (haha) but I was just wondering: If I'm the only one on a gymnastics team, do I have to be an all around? If you must know, it's for school, and it's kind of a long story. Just wondering, PLEASE get back to me! Thank you sosososo much! <3 -ilovelola

You aren't exactly a team if you're the only person...? Could you elaborate a little? You can't compete as a team if you aren't a team.

You see, I'm one school- we don't really have a team- however, a school around the corner offered me a spot with their team, but I'm only aloud to train with them- I compete as a one man band. I know it really doesn't make much sense, but I'll do honestly anything to get back into the sport even if it's only me... and the people from the other team

I would think that you can compete as an individual representing your school but you won't be included in team awards because there would need to be more gymnasts (usually 3-4?). We have girls on our club team who compete in high school gymnastics as well as the only member of their "team"

You wouldn't be in consideration for the team award so compete whatever events you want and have fun!

question though: would I be eligible for any awards for that matter???

There really aren't "awards" in high school... except for the team district/regionals/state meets... and it's a team trophy. Top three finishers at any meet simply have their name called out over the PA system while all the girls anxiously await to see which school team wins the meet.
