This isn't really a question or post for needing advice. Tonight at gym one of my little girls broke her arm. This is the first time I have ever witnessed an injury so severe. She put her hand down to catch herself after a rebound that was very powerful. We should all take the time to remind our gymnasts about safety falls. So scary. :(

That happened to me last year, I had a girl dislocate her elbow doing a ROBHS on tumbletrack. Total freak accident, still to this day not sure how it happened, my best guess is she had her hand turned out and her arm couldn't take the pressure. That was the first injury I ever had in my class and it was a terrible feeling! But yes always important to teach safe ways to fall and to not put your hands behind you if you land on your butt :)

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
