Well dd(Level 7)has been back to her slow start since her fractured 4th metacarpal for 1 1/2 weeks now, she is getting there. Bars is the big struggle though, scared to do anything because of her grip strength and forearm strength being decreased. Coach gave her some exercises to do with just moving fingers and with her stress ball and told us to do a rice bucket. She so wants to get it back are there any other suggestions on what she could do.
She is tumbling on tumble track right now and was able to do bwo on beam and her round off back tuck dismount on beam so we are getting there.
Coach thought she was doing therapy but doc did not suggest, should I look into it myself for her?

get a couple of eggs of silly putty. she can squeeze the balled up wad in to a fist, thru the fingers and back again while she is on the toilet or sitting around doing homework or texting on the phone or facebooking on the computer etc;:)

Call the doc's office and tell them she has some weakness in her hand/arm and could they refer her for some limited PT. That should work.
