How do I “speed up” a kip? I fully extend my glide, but I’m too slow bringing my feet to the bar. When I try to do it quicker, I don’t extend on the glide and don’t make the kip. I think I may be rushing.

How do I know it’s the right time to start kipping in the long hang kip? Sometimes I go too early and I want to prevent that.

How do I drop into a kip after a clear hip circle? I seem to bring my hips back to the bars as if I were going to do a back hip circle. I think it may be muscle memory from competing a double bhc.

Any tips appreciated!

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
