Ok I was on youtube and saw a comment that Kyla Williams wouldn't be competing in the 2010 national championships because she retired. I looked it up and sure enough she did. Here is the story. Link Removed

Apparently she tore a ligament in her foot and wouldn't be healed in time for worlds this year. She decided that she was going to focus on training for her NCAA career. (She is signed with University of Alabama) She says "--but I just felt like I did my job and I'm proud of my accomplishments, everything I've done." Kayla might compete level to JO nationals again.

How many of you guys knew this???

I heard this a few weeks ago. Can't say I was really suprised - she hasn't been in a competition for over a year, had to change gyms, and with Alicia coming back and Raisman turning senior there wasn't really room for her on the team. She should be a great college gymnast though!

My daughter met her last summer and asked me if she would be at the Visa meet, so when I didn't see her on the roster I googled and saw she retired elite but is going the NCAA route. She is such a strong gymanst and really nice person to meet :) We wish her the best in collage!
