At my gym, we have used GK Elite and Snowflake Designs for our comp leos. We started with GK and switched to Snowflake, then back to G,K, and now back to Snowflake for good.
My first year at the gym, I am currently we at we had GK practiceleagues for our first year (Level 5).
Then we switched to Snowflake and had the CUTEST custom leotard ever. It was a short-sleeve/tank but was super cute and affordable. We never had a problem, no rhinestones fell off, no stitching cameloosee.
After this season, we did back-to-back season, level 5-level6, and went back to GK.
We had custom long sleeve leos, they were expensive but were the CHEAPEST QUALITY. They did not fit not look good on any of the girls, the stitching came loose and ripped on every leo, and every single rinestone fell off.
Then the next year we had GK again, and it was a better quality leo, it fit and looked good on a majority of the girls. Only a few rinestones fell off.
Then last year, we made our switch to Snowflake again. We had custom tank leos that were affordable but were the BEST quality, were adorable, and ddidn't losea single rhinestone.
This comingyeara,r we have chosen to go with Snowflake again and have a customLeoo for our only Xcel Diamond. We let our Diamond pick and help design the leo, and the people at Snowflake made her vision come to life.

I was just wondering what everyone else's favorite leotard company for competitions was.
My personal favorite is Snowflake.

Years ago, our team used GK. The first year that OG was on team, they got one of the sleeves wrong. The next year, they had discontinued columbia blue velvet (with no notice ... and substituted columbia blue nylon without letting HC know until they arrived). They looked HORRIBLE on taller girls.
The next year (2011-12), we went with a different design. We had our rep come in to fit the girls with nylon sizers. Since sizers have been worn by a lot of people, some of them may have been a little stretched out. It was YG's first year on team. The rep knew we like to keep leotards for at least 2 years. She insisted that YG needed a CM even though her practice leotards were all CL or AXS. It was VERY sleek fitting that first season. The second season, it was really tight (to the extent that at a mock meet late in the season that had YG in the leotard for 30 minutes, I had to help PEEL it off of her and there were dig marks on her body at all the seams). They also discontinued the leotard completely 1/2 way through the 2012-13 season ... again with no notice ... Even though it was featured on Make It or Break It in the series finale on May 14, 2012 (Lauren and one other girl were wearing it).
At the beginning of that season, it had become a "special order," so more expensive than the year before. We found out about the discontinuance when we had 2 girls join team in December, and we couldn't get them leotards. The coach had been given one from a girl who retired, but it was too big for both of the new girls. OG could fit it though, so she traded the bigger one for hers, and we gave the other girl her old design (with the velvet bottom) so that worked out. For the last meet of the season, YG borrowed an AXS from an injured teammate.
The following season, we switched to Alpha Factor. We kept the same design for 3 years. Then, we changed to another Alpha Factor Leotard. We kept that one until Alpha Factor closed down in 2021. I was actually the one who told HC ... because I asked her who we were going to use now that they closed. She worked with the semi-local company that makes the High School Team leotards, and got them to make something very similar so we have basically had the same leotard now for at least 9 years.
I am not sure if we are keeping them for this coming season, but a lot of the girls loved last year's senior leotards (by Snowflake ... because both of the seniors preferred Snowflake). If we change it up, it will probably be to Snowflake, just because they did so well at bringing what we wanted to life.
