EDIT: See my post #4 below... this post is incorrect... sorry.

Is it possible to do a bars routine without a clear hip> I don't currently have access to a CoP, so the main question is if giants are in Groups 3/6/7?
For example:
Kip
Cast Hand, 1/2
Kip, cast, toe hect
Kip
Giant, girant, double back/layout

Or would a clear hip/ something else be needed for that requirement/ a 10 SV.

Yes... you can do a routine without a clear hip.

No... giants are group #4.

However... assuming the toe up will count as your one restricted "C" and drop to a "B"... then you should be good. You would have to talk to your coach or a judge to confirm.

Thank you! At some point I just need to bite it and buy a code.

Sorry... I wasn't thinking correctly last night... good thing I posted the pics. You still need a 360º 3/6/7. It doesn't need to go to handstand though... you can just do a "B" level clear hip.

EDIT: My Level 8 is rusty... we basically always do one of the same 2 routines at our club. The toe up allows you to take out the pirouette... not the 3/6/7. Again though... the clear hip does not have to go to handstand.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
