Just make sure she maintains body shape during the hand shift and pushes tall. On the floor bar work mix grip jump straddle to h stand withe shape and also work jump straddle to h stand quarter turn. Put a panel mat in front of the bar so she can quarter and lightly put her hand on the mat while posting on her support arm. I tell the kids that the panel mat is a puppy and not to squish it ! Only enough weight to pet it, this enforcest the posting on the shift hand.
Then on the real bar start working the cast shift and post to quarter, spotted and in spotted. You are building strength and control. After you do that for a month start working the speed of the turn, because after all those drills she will be slow but in control and strong. Then return to the drills twice a week, Then once a week.
