My DGD's gym hosted an AAU competition this weekend. A parent from another team approached me with a question and I wasn't sure of the answer. She said a girl had competed Level 5 a few weeks ago and she was told that this girl would be competing Level 3 at this competition. She said it had nothing to do with the new level changes. Is it possible to compete down two levels? (By the way the woman's daughter did very well, taking 2nd place all-around). The girl taking 1st AA was not the girl in question.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
