Parents Little Puma's on the up!

(please tell me someone got my Tesla reference? I can't be the only rockstar at heart...) Anyway...so 'ol Puma Jr just had her best meet of the season! Again, do remember it's all relative here...your kids would still be crying over these scores lol. She is still yet to make the podium this season, but this morning was her best vault, best bars, best floor and best AA of the season! It wasn't a great beam, but even with a notoriously tough judge good enough for an 8.0, so nothing below an 8 either! She stayed on everything, which is very important to her, but more importantly she overall just looked so much better. She's really working on all the little things like legs together, toes pointed ect.. The little things that really matter. And she made all her goals. We are 8 months into the new gym now and I think some things are finally starting to click. Thanks for everyone's interest and support on this crazy journey!

Yayyy!! Super happy for Puma Jr. Told you she would break through those 9's!!! Did she cast on bars, keep her legs together and hit 120 degrees on her leap/jump??

Well no 9s yet...but I'm pretty psyched about all 8s! Her casts and kips were the best I've seen, legs together the vast majority on the time (I think there was a little break on first kip) and floor leaps were well over 120, I think close to 180. I don't think the beam ones were, but they were better. Over 90 at least. Her flexibility is good, she just desperately doesn't want to fall off! Small victories... Thank you!!!

And listen to this craziness (you know I love my random side notes). We got trapped in the elevator at the hotel for 45 minutes! The fire department had to come! lol! I seriously cannot make this stuff up....at least we were with a nice family from a gym we often compete against. It could have been much worse! And poor Puma Jr had a bought of her cyclical vomiting syndrome in the middle of the night, and I woke up with pink eye! But it was all worth the smile on her face today
