Hi, I’m a gymnast and need advice on shaving! I always get really bad razor burn around my bikini line ! Any advice please! Thanks!

I've always done a few things.
1. Wash really really well right before you shave. Gently, but really good.
2. I like to use a body sugar scrub on the area and then use that as shaving cream. I can see what I'm getting with the razor, but it's not straight on my skin.
3. Wash really well after
4. Use a moisturizer

Another option would be to try an electric razor that doesn't need water or anything. I've seen then before and heard they can work really well.

I always had that problem too; i would get red bumps from ingrown hairs and cuts from shaving there. I realized after awhile it wasnt working for me, so I tried Nair Body Hair Removal Cream, and its so much better (for me, others have different opinions). All you do is spread it down there and wait 5-8 minutes, and then wipe it off with a wet rag. Instead off cutting the hairs and leaving the leftover hair to get irritated or ingrown, it pulls the full hair follicle out. I only use it there, as shaving is better for legs/armpits, and before meets. I would suggest trying that and if it works it works, if it doesnt it doesnt. Hope this helps :)

me personally i always used nair ready wax strips instead of a razor along the bikini line because it reduces a lot of the stress of cutting or get razor burn
