Lately I’ve been not enjoying gymnastics as a whole as much as I used to. Like, not wanting to go to practice, not looking forward to it, not missing it, and thinking about it less outside of gym. I really want to get back to loving the sport and get out of this neutral feeling for it but I’m not sure how. I don’t want to quit, I just want to enjoy it a little more. Does anyone have any ideas?
 
I think it depends on your age/level and what it is you find yourself gravitating to. If another activity sounds interesting - give it a try. You might find it's nothing compared to gym, or you might find a new love for something different.

My daughter is middle school age and the drop off we're seeing now is huge. Kids just have so many choices of how to spend their time, and I can see several of her beloved teammates just checking out - and they are at the level where it really isn't safe to do that. If that's what you're experiencing, think carefully about what's best for you and definitely talk to your parents/coaches about how to best proceed.
