hello there
Is there a maximum age for grades in UK? for example club grade 6 minimum age is 8, but what ages are the eldest gymnasts doing it?
It depends on your region what age groups they offer. Some offer an open ended agegroup at the top like eg 12+ which any age could enter. Other regions offer specific age groups for each grade eg Aged 8, Aged 9, Aged 10 but nothing older. I'm not sure why older girls would want to do the lower club grades 6 and 5 it is very basic, but lots of older girls do national grades and regional 2 and 1 which are more challenging.

For regional, national grades and classic challenge, I have seen there are age categories for the competitions, so there is a maximum and minimum age. Although could vary by region. However, I can't see any maximum age for compulsory grades, only minimum.

British Gymnastics does not state a maximum age for any grades. To cap ages is a choice of your region.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
