Our gym splits meet fees (registration, coach fees and coach travel fees) evenly across all gymnasts x meets attending.
For example, if 100 gymnasts, 50 attending 5 meets and 50 attending 7. Total costs are divided by 600 (50×5)+(50×7).
Then, the 50 that are attending 5 pay slightly less than the 50 attending 7.
This is across all levels (JO & Xcel).
However, even thogh the Xcel meets are all in state, so much more limited travel, hotels typically not needed, the cost per meet is the same as the JO levels that have multiple out of state, full weekend coaching needed.
Is this normal? Xcel ends up not being that much cheaper for those members (main cost savings is monthly fees because of less practice hours, and personal travel expenses with no out of state meets).
