Amazing Oleg got that close to Kohei, when you consider what his training situation likely is compared to the Japanese gymnasts...what a great top 3!
Hopefully winning the silver, coming so close to Kohei, and Oleg being relatively young for men's gym will cause his government to put some money into that program.And with Oleg only 22 (turning 23 this year), strong possibility of him returning for 2020, as well as being a force at Worlds. I hope so! What a talent!
I do worry about his training conditions if that recent reddit article is accurate, though.
