hey everyone, I have a quick question about gymnastics equipment (more specifically, mini tramps). Where would someone who isn't starting a gym purchase one?

Is this something I should pursue online or by talking to the guys at my local gym and seeing if they could purchase one from whoever their supplier is? I haven't found much online other than excersise mini tramps and the occasional gymnastics mini tramp (too bad the companies were in New Zealand and Denmark while I'm in the US).

im sure you can get one of those mini tramps @ toys r us, walmart or some workout/atheletic shop. maybe you could search on amazon or ebay for a nice cheaper one im sure they sell quite a few! :D

Just google gym supply. YOu will find lots of companies. What do you want one for? They are VERY expensive!

this is what i found on amazon:

I'm pretty sure that's what I'm looking for but without a picture I won't know 100%.. unfortunately ebay had nothing after a brief search :(

however, i did find these: Link Removed

fwiw I'd rather keep it under $600 or so (if that's even possible haha)

Edit: I was toying with the idea of putting one of these at the end of my dock and then just landing in water. In theory it sounds like fun :)

Ooh that'd be fun, just make sure it won't slide about and that you have plenty of depth for the landing. I have a good friend who is a quadraplegic. He dove in a lake and broke his neck and severed his spinal cord when he was 17, he is now 60!

Be warned also that docks get really slippery when wet (now that is a great album!) and running would not be advised. Not sure how that would work!

The second one is the one we use in our gym, I like it because there is no metal bar along the front or back to land on. It is also height and angle adjustable. I imagine it would rust pretty badly though and the bed wouldn't survive too long in full sun. We also have a gymnova one that I don't like.

ahh! sorry to hear about your friend :(

I can take care of the slippery deck issue with some mats and/or grip tape (i doubt that's what it's called but, in layman's terms, it's duct tape with a sand paper-like back).

My local gym doesn't have a mini tramp so I'm lost when it comes to performance. Ideally, I want to go as high as possible :D

there are two potential candidates here ^^^^ scroll down approx 5/8 of the way. I plan to take it inside, dry it off, etc after use so hopefully that will minimize water damage. I may be wrong, but I doubt that having a wet spring bed will make much difference because of the huge amount of force being applied.

On a side note, I lol'ed when I found this YouTube - Dorado Mini Trampoline

I've used the screen name "dorado" for years so it only seems fitting that I get a mini tramp called "Dorado" :p it's probably like $2K+ though
