My 5 year old was telling me about her practice last night, and they were practicing one-handed cartwheels. Then she tells me her coach demonstrated something amazing. "Mommy, she did a Mermaid! It was a cartwheel with NO hands!!" I asked her, "She did a WHAT?" She looks plainly at me and says "A mermaid."

Then it dawns on me. "Are you sure she didn't call it an "aerial"?"

"Oh yeah, that's what she called it mommy."

Too much "The Little Mermaid" in this house I guess. :D

That is too cute! I miss coaching little ones terribly so this really made my day. Maybe it would be less embarrassing if I told people I broke my ankle on a mermaid rather than an aerial? Haha.

That is so cute!!! I remember when I was little I was convinced that baranis were actually called brownies :p

Very sweet!!! :D I never correct those adorable mispronunciations!
