So at age 14 in the year 1999 I had an English teacher named Miss Rachel! She is my favourite teacher ever because of how she use to tease! She was very young for a teacher and she use to joke or threaten to turn us upside down! Miss Rachel I doubt knew I had an obsession with hanging upside down (hanging upside down is one of my two autism special interests) so she obviously didn't know how her way of teasing affected me! After she would joke about turning me upside down I would feel hyper all day and figity unable to concentrate even in other lessons after English which often got me in slight trouble in later lessons! On days we had History after English class Miss Rachel literally doomed me because feeling hyper in history was the biggest most frightning risk ever because the history teacher was by far no context the strictest teacher in the school! I would feel hyper and full of energy all day! The thing is I never told her I had hanging upside down as an autism special interest (after she teased I couldn't wait to go home from school to hang upside down) and I wanted to ask her but never built up the courage to ask if she liked gymnastics but I wanted to ask her if she liked gymnastics because she teased and had a sense of humour styled around turning kids upside down so I wondered if she liked gymnastics but never asked her! Miss Rachel never went though and turned us upside down for real and the word gymnastics was never mentioned in her English lessons but I wonder sooooooo much if she would link being upside down and gymnastics together like I do? Anyway, below is conversations I remember fondly with Miss Rachel during English lessons! She was sadly only in our middle/high school for one year when I was 14/15 years old!
EARLY ENGLISH LESSON WITH MISS RACHEL!
14 year old me asks "Miss Rachel what are we doing today?"
Miss Rachel says "Turning you upside down"
14 year old me says *gets hyper, feels figity* "REALLY?
Miss Rachel says "Of course, I need to raise my salary by emptying your pockets and your small so I'll definitely be turning you upside down, little cutie"
ANOTHER ENGLISH LESSON!
14 year old me says "How is this homework done?"
Miss Rachel says "I think you should do your homework upside down"
14 year old me asks *gulps with butterflies tickling my tummy* "is being upside down fun?" (I obviously already knew the answer but asked anyway out of curiosity if she'll mention gymnastics)
Miss Rachel says "depends, I think it's fun"
ANOTHER ENGLISH LESSON!
14 year old me asks "Miss what are we doing today in English?"
Miss Rachel says "A lot of work which if you don't finish I'll be tying you to the ceiling by your feet UPSIDE DOWN"
14 year old me *gulps, feels butterflies in my tummy* "would you REALLY turn me upside down?
Miss Rachel nods, smiles and says *nods head and smiles* "your a cutie aren't you?"
ANOTHER ENGLISH LESSON! (cleaner man in classroom)
14 year old me says "I'm excited for English today"
Miss Rachel says If you don't finish your English work this strong man will pick you up by your ankles to empty your pockets and make me rich"
14 year old me asks sounding scared but deep down happier than ever "Is he REALLY going to do that?" *gulps and feels butterflies in my tummy*
Miss Rachel says "of course, he needs to build up his strength and muscle by using kids as weights by lifting them upside down by their ankles"
Cleaner man says *shows muscles* "big muscles"
Special needs support assistant says "I don't have the body strength to hold a kid by their ankles"
Miss Rachel looks at me and gently says "don't look so nervous, he won't turn you upside down, MUCH"
ANOTHER ENGLISH LESSON!
14 year old me says "I like the cleaner guy"
Miss Rachel says "Of course you like him, he turned you upside down didn't he? I'll turn you UPSIDE DOWN"
REPEATED CONVERSATION IN ENGLISH LESSONS THOUGHOUT THE SCHOOLYEAR!
14 year old me asks excited *asking excited* "Moss do you still want me upside down?"
Miss Rachel says "all the time"
14 year old me says to teachers walking into English to have a conversation with Miss Rachel "miss wants me to be upside down"
Miss Rachel laughs and says *Miss Rachel laughs* "of course I do, all the time, I'LL TURN YOU UPSIDE DOWN, you little cutie" * Miss Rachel taps my nose*
QUICK QUESTION! If I had asked Miss Rachel did she like gymnastics what would she of said? She is my dream gymnastics coach and I base my own gymnast roleplay from her way of teasing about turning my whole world upside down! She should of taught gymnastics instead of English then she can REALLY turn kids UPSIDE DOWN!
