I recently dislocated my knee and the doctors said there is a great chance that I may have to give up gymnastics and cheer for good!!!!! Does anyone have any good advice on how to recover and prove the doctors wrong???? Gymnastics is my life and without it I don't know what I will do!!!!! Please help!!!!!:beam: Beam is my life!!!!!!!! Thanks everybody!!!!!!

Here's my advice:

1) Don't try to prove your doctors wrong. If they say you can't do gymnastics, they probably have very good reason for doing so. A few more years of gymnastics isn't worth permanent joint damage, so listen to the doctors and if they tell you not to do it, don't do it.

2) Don't ask for medical advice on the internet. If you have questions, the best person to ask is ALWAYS a physician who has seen you and examined you in person.
