I don't mean to sound ignorant, but this has been bugging me for a few weeks now. I keep seeing people refer to their gymnasts/children as "DD"....what does that mean? I'm sorry, but I've never heard that before...at least I don't think I have. Thanks! :rolleyes:

DD=Dear Daughter

DS=Dear Son

DH=Dear Husband

No question is too "odd" to be asked:) Many others have had the same question when they 1st started here at CB...including me:D

dd, ds, dh are pretty universal on any forum, not just chalkbucket.

Its a heck of a lot easier then typing out daughter :)

And if you are aggravated with your dd, ds, or dh you can think of some other creative substitutions for the d as well, lol.

It's also funny that in real life conversation I want to say dd - people would think I am nutty!
