Just get new bars . Kids don't compete on the old rails anymore. Get the new soft rails.

I'd love to get new bars but can't. We are non-profit gym and I've already used up the budget for the year...trying to make do with what we have :-(
It's a safety issue. I am sure something can be done , fund raiser etc...

I second a fundraiser… also, contact any clubs within driving distance (they may have rails in better shape than yours that they are replacing anyways)… maybe they would donate / sell them to you at low cost.

We got an old set of uneven SA bars but the wood is pretty worn down, they are very slippery. Is there anything we can do besides replacing the wooden bars? Can we sand them down?

okay. i've posted this before. pour coke or sprite in to a spray/spritz bottle. before you go home one night spray liberally 2 feet on each side of center.
when you come in the next day, you will see the grain in the laminate come up just a bit.
spray again and chalk. couple of times.
when you go home again this night, spray liberally again.
it'll work pretty good until you can figure out how to get the money for new rails and ends.
got a casino nearby? :)

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
