Women Open Letter To USAG From Gym Owner

I came across this today on Gym Blog Central’s Facebook page. Not sure where it was originally posted. Thoughts?

If the allegations are true (I have no reason to doubt them), then I agree.

I applaud the owner who wrote this letter and I think it would be great if more would speak out and do the same. The latest revelations have left me outraged and embarrassed. I can't tell you how many times I've had to 'defend' my DDs sport recently to friends, acquaintances and strangers. I feel bad for my DD's gym that may be at risk to loose revenue from the bad image USAG has...there is another competitive stream in my state and it wouldn't surprise me at all if more start opting to send their kids to one of these gyms for rec or team. I'm angry that USAG has given this wonderful sport that has given so much to both me and my DD a black eye. I'm so sad for the victims.

USAG has been reluctant to change. If they hear from member clubs and athlete members would that be enough pressure to force meaningful change?

IMHO, blindly defending USAG right now is not a good look for a club.
