Hi everyone,

One of the classes I teach is parent tot. It's not hard to teach but sometimes I feel like each week is the same and repetitive. Here is how I usually structure the 45min class:

5 minutes of stretching (I need ideas of stretching routines for little kids, because I do the same one every time)
20 minutes on the obstacle course (this is change each time but any ideas is appreciated)
5-10 minutes on tumbl track and I also lay out some toys, shapes and letters out I'd the kids want to use them.
Last 5-10min is parachute. (Looking for other game ideas i can use at the end of class since I always use the parachute)

Thanks for any ideas! Just looking to switch it up from the same routine every time:)

I don't teach these but they're pretty similar to our preschool classes and I've been trained on them. The way they're structured over here is ...

Fun cardio (2-3 min)
- Pit runs
- Running up and down the trench
- Animal walks (giraffe - releve walks, frog - squat jumps, cheetah - running, penguin - waddles, butterfly - skipping, etc)

Stretch (5 min)
- Jump to a star, reach to our favorite leg, reach to our other favorite leg, and the middle
- Sit in our butterfly, what color is your butterfly? Where are you flying to?
- Straddle. Make a pizza. Roll out our dough on this side. And this side. add our sauce in the middle. shake out the cheese (good for quick wrists), now what toppings do we want to add?
- We need to make a table to eat our pizza on. Can we take 3 big bites of our pizza? (lift hands)
- Now make a realllyyyy tight egg. Don't crack your egg! (rock and roll)

Ninja/Obstacle course (10 min)
Whatever the course is that month. they just go nuts. sometimes we'll have an octagon on it's side with pit blocks in it, or a cheese mat for rolls.

Preschool area time (10-15 min)
We have a mini floor area, beam area, and bars area with stations that change monthly. We spend around 3-4 minutes in each section but since the parents are there and it's all in the same general space they can go wherever.
- Floor will have panel mats, cheese mats, cartwheel mats, etc.
- Beam will have a low "high" beam, laser beams, etc.
- Bars will have one of those at home bars for basic stuff, floor bars, mini spring boards.

Tumble Track or Tramp (8-10 min)
They just go at it. Tumble track will have side stations with squishy squares, caterpillar mats, and cheese mats. Tramp will have side stations like spring board, cheese mats, fluff mats, and sometimes things to jump into the pit off of. Our tramp is also right next to our vault and rod floor so if team isnt there then kids will run up and down the rod, and dads will shove their kids off the table into the pit lol.

I used to sing the itsy bitsy spider in straddle and it was a huge hit! You reach to one side when you start the song, make the rain in the middle, the sun comes out as you rock side to side with arms over head and then reach to the other side as you end the song.

Love walking across a beam with a puzzle piece and then putting it in the puzzle at the end of the beam.

Run to freeze in a hula hoop

Stepping over beam bags and then cones, on floor or beam depending on skill, looking under a cone, walking across beam in a hula hoop with parent to guide

Walking/moving like different animals

We also had themed weeks - so safety week, backwards week, shapes week, animals, week, upside down week, rolling week, etc, which can help give structure to your obstacle courses. Another gym I was at did a shape of the week and used that to help structure all the other events.
