A few minutes ago for the first time ever I came across this website, so I’m sorry if I’m doing this the wrong way lol but I was praying I might be able to get other peoples opinions on enrolling my 4.5 year old daughter in a good and fun activity please.

I was thinking ballet or gymnastics because she loves ballerinas and thinks they’re so cool but she lately has been showing me everyday all of her cool summersaults and stuff she recently learned how to do. If someone wouldn’t mind maybe sharing any information on what worked and or may not have worked with their kids please I would be so very grateful.
Thank You 😊

It's a great time to try things! You can always ask her too. Maybe try one session of gymnastics and then ask if she wants to do it again, or try dance. You could also think about finding a spring break camp so she could try something with low commitment.

I second Coach Kate's suggestion to see if you can do a trial class of each, or a camp, as that will give your daughter a chance to try the activities without a major commitment on your part.

My daughters both did both ballet/dance and recreational gymnastics from an early age, and enjoyed and benefited from both. For preschool kids, the time commitment is quite small for each activity (we did around 45-60 min, once a week). My older one eventually found another sport that she enjoyed more, and my younger daughter continued with both until she joined the Xcel team at her gym, and she gave up ballet at that time because of schedule conflicts.
