Audacity sends your personal data to Russia and other ‘third parties’
IP addresses will be ‘stored in an identifiable way’ for 24 hours, the company’s new terms and conditions state

I know a lot of coaches use audacity to edit routine music. Unfortunately, that's no longer safe.
It's a shame, but the safest thing would be to switch to a different software.
Reaper (though it has a much steeper learning curve) can do everything audacity can do and more, has an unlimited free trial, and is (to the best of my knowledge) still safe to use.
