Anon Question About Judging

For those that are gymnastics judges - how do you get hired to judge meets once you have passed your tests and are certified?

For a newly certified 4/5 judge do you just get added to a database? Just curious how that process works.

You should contact your states judging Director. After you have passed the test (and have active pro membership in USAG or whatever gymnastics organization you wish to judge) and you want to start judging you need to join NAWGJ (National Association of Women’s Gymnastics Judges). Your state’s NAWGJ organization keep’s a list of active judges and does the assigning to meets. My state, and I think most?, use the JAS system (www.gymjas.com) to put in our individual availability and get our meet assignements.
